Choosing a few intriguing contestants wasn't hard at all. Always choose what the producers want - that was Chris's motto for making money and staying alive. Reality shows sucked like that. They were so shallow, but Chris didn't have many other choices. No other job would take him, at least ones with a pay he could live on. After splurging on himself during World Tour, he was on his last legs. He sometimes wondered if it was worth it, though. He could be something else. Something less painfully degrading. But he chose, well, this nutty job.
Next up was hiring the interns as desperate for money or experience as he was, apparently. They needed to seem tough enough to survive but were otherwise not a challenge to pick. He also needed female interns, so those were a tad trickier. Besides, after Dakota's mishap a season or two ago, what girl WANTED anywhere NEAR the show?
Apparently a few girls - though most just famethirsty maniacs.
"Hi, I'm Bay-" Whatever. Hope the water doesn't take your fake tanner off.
"Hellooooo, I'm-" Sharks or jellyfish? You look like a jellyfish girl.
"Hi there Chris!" You probably should be saying hi to the octopi.
There were only a few that struck Chris as being just normal girls looking for cash or something on a resume. They were all in, obviously. It was much easier to deal with normal kids.
'Normal kids'... Unlike anyone he ever knew.
"Here's the thing, Christopher."
Chris was blushing. He'd just been spitballed, laughed at, and humiliated in Human Studies class during which he was trying to give a speech. As he packed up, a female student stayed behind and approached him, making him blush a little more - embarrassed.
"Nobody's normal. While those kids are wild animals, you're a smart guy. A little weird maybe, but we all are. Normal is just really boring." He remembered her voice being softly reassuring to him, "By the way, your speech was wonderful..."
Rumor had it she offed herself a month or two later. Chris wasn't one to believe rumors, but this seemed common knowledge for students. He did decide, however, in spirit of her, these kids were not normal.
They just weren't crazy.

Give Me A Smile - Papyrus x Reader: Chapter 10
You closed the door to Grillby’s, giving the owner a little wave as you exited the building. “What a day,” you murmured to yourself, lightly yawning before making your way back home.
Home… it felt kind of strange to call it that, and yet, so incredibly right. Despite the fact you had been in the Underground for only a short amount of time, everything felt so easy; as though it was meant to be. You inhaled deeply as you walked, the crisp, cold air renewing you from the inside out, the sweet smell of Cinnamon Bunnies wafting deliciously from a few buildings behind you. Noticing how hungry you were after your long and se

Give Me A Smile - Papyrus x Reader: Chapter 8
The rest of the day had been unremarkably uneventful, considering the shock that you had received early that morning. You were still not entirely sure how to feel about the whole situation; given as holding down a stable job wasn’t exactly your forte. But – just this once – you would allow yourself to hope; to hope that this one would be different, that this one may actually be good for you. Though you had been in the Underground for an astonishing short amount of time, you couldn’t help but feel as though this place may be home; more than anything ever had been before. So, you assumed that the emotions you should feel

Sans x Reader 3
It was exactly 4:13 in the morning and (Y/N) was still awake. The reason being that she was trying to finish a portrait of one of the most important people in her life. Well, he wasn't strictly a person. He was a Skeleton. However, that's beside the point.
"Grah! I can't get this other eye right!" (Y/N) growled in frustration and yanked on a strand of hair.
She was about to toss the half finished drawing across the room when the sound of her doorbell echoed through the otherwise quiet house. (Y/N) tensed up, silently questioning who on Earth would be at her door this time of night. After picking up a hairbrush from her desk, (Y/N) crept out

Great job. I'm loving his indifference to the interns and the flashback of that mysterious new girl. Hopefully we'll get to see more of her later on.
